FAQs
1. How can I tell if I need my wisdom teeth removed?

You may be experiencing pain from an infection or an impacted tooth. This may cause headaches, a gum ‘flap’, a cyst on your gums or mouth sores from your teeth rubbing against your cheeks.

2. How many days off will I need if I have my wisdom teeth removed?

For most people recovery is about three to four days. If your teeth were severely impacted you may need a week to recover.

3. Will I be asleep for the procedure?

Thanks to modern techniques, there is no need for this procedure to be done under sedation in most cases. You will be made very comfortable with local anaesthetic, so you won’t feel a thing - and you will recover faster. If your situation is especially complex, we will refer you to a trusted specialist who will perform the removal under general anaesthetic.
